Casa Isaac: Italian knitwear from G.R.P. Knitwear Mill
Casa Isaac is the knitwear line of Maglificio G.R.P., which has been working in Poggio a Caiano, Tuscany, since 1973. The name comes from Isaac's house in Bergman's Fanny and Alexander : a room full of objects gathered over generations, which is also how the label thinks about a knitted garment — something that stays, not something that passes with the season. The style is folk and country chic, with a recognisable balance between Nordic restraint and Mediterranean warmth. The yarns are natural — wool, linen, cotton, hemp, cashmere — and the runs are small by choice: every piece is made in Italy by the mill's own knitters, with work and finishing you notice up close, on the edges, the cuffs, the intarsia.

Hand wash in cold water with a neutral wool detergent, without wringing. Dry flat on a towel, away from direct heat. Between wears, airing it is usually enough.
