The Beta SL is described as light and packable, while the Beta AR is also intended for mountaineering and, in cold weather, should be paired with an insulating layer underneath.

Atom: synthetic insulation for a layering system

The Atom jackets are insulated pieces that work as an outer layer in spring and autumn or as a midlayer beneath a shell. Several versions use synthetic Coreloft fill; the Atom SL and Atom Lightweight Hoody concentrate it on the torso and add stretch side panels that help ventilation when the pace becomes more intense.
